Give

We believe God calls each of us to voluntarily give the first tenth (tithe) of our net income to God for the support of our local church as an act of faith and gratitude to him for his provision. An offering is collected during our Sunday services and envelopes are available at the door if desired. You can also choose to give using online banking using the details below.

Where does my giving go?

EDAC [West Swan & Armadale]

General giving to EDAC (undesignated) goes toward paying our Pastors and staff, ministry costs, building rent and maintenance and caring for those in our church and community. EDAC includes our West Swan and Armadale congregations.

10% of EDAC’s income is tithed to needs outside of EDAC, including 6% to the National C&MA; and the remainder to Compassion Australia, Gideon Internation, (our two official partners) and to other ministries as our deacons decide. The breakdown of EDAC’s spending is decided by our Boards of Elders and Deacons, based on the budget we adopt at our AGM.

Northam [Church Plant]

Money given to Northam supports the work of Northam Alliance Church and Avon Vale Youth, where a weekly youth group and Sunday service reach the local Northam community with the Good News. This work is now recognised as ‘missions’ by the C&MA Australia. Most of the giving they receive goes to very practical, basic needs such as transport for the 100 or so youth group participants, food and drink, activity supplies and building hire.

Faith Promise

We believe God wants us to voluntarily choose to give in addition to our tithe as we respond in faith and gratitude to his blessings. The first way to give that we encourage is the Faith Promise, which supports the combined efforts of the Australian C&MA to complete the Great Commission of Jesus through overseas and home missions, church planting, training and administrative support. Each year we have a Missions Week around September to encourage people to make a promise to give an amount over the coming year for this. If you’re giving to this, don’t forget to put it in an envelope and write how much is for your faith promise, or state it in your online reference.
